Runways To War clients-2
Runways To War clients at East Kirkby

We have built our reputation on the personal attention we give to each and every client on our tour. Our guide and tour manager work hard to make sure everything runs smoothly for you so you have nothing to worry about and can concentrate on soaking up the history.

Here are a few comments we have received on our feedback forms. These are all genuine - in fact you can check their veracity out when you come on the tour. We always respond to suggestions whenever possible and have, infact, remodelled the tour bit by bit because of what clients have said:

"I have really enjoyed this tour which has been interesting, evocative and enlightening. thank you."

"There was a lot of recall of events and situations in which I had learned my knowledge in the RAF all those years ago - as well as explanations that made clear to me some events of my experience."

Nice relaxed atmosphere, lovely people

"I had already read much about Bomber Command. It was wonderful to actually see these airfields and the aircraft that flew from them. I just wish the time at East Kirkby had been longer to get round all the exhibits" (this has now been done)

"The tour guide Mickey Burke was excellent - extremely knowledgable and very conscientious at shepherding the group around"

"Staying at a hotel appropriate to the tour was a good idea. Being in the shoes of airmen from 617 Squadron was very sobering"

"Nice relaxed atmosphere, lovely people. Tuesday boarding Just Jane was a truly wonderful day. Only criticism is that the visit to the operations room at RAF Digby was too short." (Many clients said this - so the time has been lengthened)

"We were very impressed with the quality of everything and particularly appreciated the attention made to my dietary requirements"

"Small group, variety of visits, personal attention on visits and a chance to do something not normally available - get aboard a working Lancaster. Really enjoyed the trip."

"Getting aboard Just Jane was the highlight - but the whole tour was thoroughly enjoyable."

"Looking at the programme beforehand it seemed that four hours at East Kirkby would be far too long - but in the end it was simply not possible to see everything at this wonderful museum."
