An injured climber is winched to safety by the RAF in Snowdonia. A trip to photograph the search and rescue helicopter at RAF Valley on a training exercise had quickly turned into the real thing when this climber slipped and injured her head near the summit of Snowden.
I was able to photograph the whole mission, with my reporter Nerys Lloyd-Pierce drafted into holding the injured woman's hand and talking to her to keep her conscious on the way to hospital. Thankfully the climber quickly made a full recovery with only a 4-page article in the magazine "Wales on Sunday" to remind her of an eventful trip!
Throughout my career for both national and regional newspapers I have been privileged to meet interesting and unique people, some famous some not so famous. Here is just a small selection of some of the photographs, which I hope you'll enjoy. Please feel free to send me any queries or feedback you have, I'd love to hear from you.
