HERE'S how your players score points: NO MAN OF THE MATCH POINTS!: The Telegraph
are giving three per game to their man of the match but we DON'T
count these points in our league.
eg. You have picked Thierry Henry (everybody always does!). He plays a full
90 minutes for Arsenal,
If your player is on the pitch for the whole game he scores TWO POINTS.
If he is substituted (or comes on as a sub) he scores only ONE POINT.
If he scores a goal (including pen shootout kicks) he gets
FIVE POINTS.
If he passes the ball to the goalscorer (an assist) he scores THREE POINTS.
Defenders also score special points of their own:
A defender who plays the whole game and keeps a clean sheet scores FOUR POINTS.
If he only plays part of the game and keeps a clean sheet he gets TWO POINTS.
For every goal he concedes he scores MINUS ONE POINT.
Then there are the Bad Boy Penalties:
If a player is booked he scores MINUS TWO POINTS.
If he is sent off it's MINUS FIVE POINTS .
The Telegraph have introduced the following additions: If your player scores
an own goal he gets MINUS THREE POINTS.
If he misses a penalty it's MINUS FIVE POINTS.
If your goalie saves a penalty (including pen shootout spot kicks) he gets FIVE
POINTS.
scores twice in a 2-0 victory but misses a penalty. His weekly points are:
Two points for playing the whole game
Ten points for scoring two goals
Minus five for missing a penalty
He scores SEVEN POINTS for your team that
weekend.
Simple, eh?
