2006-2007 FANTASY CUP SEMI FINAL RESULTS: The tightest pair of semis we've ever had brought some joy to Mike Walshas he sees his title chances slipping away. He just pipped red zoner Amon Cohen who has overtaken him in the race for the championship. In the battle of the mid-tablers Neil Sweetman overcame Don Smart, also by a single point - and is in an excellent position to win his first trophy with the players he has left. It should be a cracker of a Final. Here's the classified check:

FA Cup 2006-2007 FANTASY CUP QUARTER FINAL RESULTS: There were a couple of tight results in the battle for the semi final spots. Red zoner Amon Cohen and mid-tabler Neil Sweetman both squeezed through their ties by only a point. In the top-versus-bottom battle leader Mike Walsh scored a comfortable vistory over Terry Ramsey while Don Smart eased through to join the last four.

The semi final draw will be held in a couple of days before the games and, as in previous years at this point in the competition, no cup tranfers will be allowed once the draw is posted. This is to stop people making transfers just to cancel out opposition players. Also there will be no Home Advantage. In the event of a draw the team who has scored the most points throughout the competition will go through to the Final. Here's the full classified check:

FA Cup 2006-2007 FANTASY CUP FIFTH ROUND RESULTS: Sorry they're late - but I forgot to say it was half term last week. In the battle of the big guns, leader Mike Walsh second placed Caroline Blackmore by only two points to keep his double dreams alive. Basement boss Terry Ramsey pulled off the shock of the round, seeing off mid-tabler Andy Jones, 23 places above him. Could we see a spate of transfers from him as he glimpses a chance of a substance other than wood at the end of the season? Another red zoner fell at the fifth - this time it was Peter Thornton, going down to Don Smart.

The quarter final draw will be held in a couple of days before the games and, as in previous years at this point in the competition, no cup tranfers will be allowed once the draw is posted. This is to stop people making transfers just to cancel out opposition players. Here's the full classified check:

FA Cup 2006-2007 FANTASY CUP FOURTH ROUND: Out went Fantasy Cup holder Amar Singh to Geoff Webster's struggling Barathea Redsocks as league leader Mike Walsh scraped through by a single point in the closest tie of the round.

Biggest hammering was the 48-12 dished out by Owen Anslow's Three Match Banslow. Amon Cohen won the battle of the two highest placed league sides. And one of the shocks of the round was the progress of brown zoner and irripressible wooden spoon collector Terry Ramsey into the Fifth Round draw which will be held in a couple of weeks time.

FA Cup 2006-2007 FANTASY CUP THIRD ROUND RESULTS: League leader Caroline Blackmore survived her third round tie at home to Missy Hughes' struggling side and former high-flyers David and OJ Harbord managed to halt their recent poor form to just edge past basement boss David Wadmore into the Fourth Round draw. Closest tie of the round was the 37-36 between Paul Thorogood and former Fantasy Cup winner Olly Maxey.

Congratulations to Neil Sweetman for hitting the highest score of the round, 45. This could come in useful in the semis and final as draws in those games are settled by the player with the highest total of FA Cup points over all rounds winning the tie. It also gives the poor sods who had to play in the Third Round some consolation as they get a few points start over the lucky byes managers.

The Fourth Round draw will be made next week. Below is the full classified check:

BRIEFLY, HERE ARE THE RULES: We have 42 teams in the league this year so, as usual, there is a limited Third Round. Twenty unlucky teams play in this round with 22 lucky teams (the first 22 drawn out of the hat) getting byes in order that we mathematically end up with the 32 survivors needed to make the Fourth Round work and so on. If your team is NOT in the draw below you were lucky enough to be among the FIRST 22 out of the hat to get a bye.

Briefly the rules are that points your players score in Cup games (without Man of the Match points, of course) are matched against your opponent's in each Fantasy Cup tie and the one with the best team total goes through. Scores are based on the original tie only. Replays do not count towards your total. In the event of a draw, Home Advantage counts - ie. the team first out of the hat in the tie goes through. Other rules will be explained as the competition progresses.

BELOW is how it all went last season to give newcomers a taste of what is in store.

The FA Cup Final proved a stroll for Amar Singh (above) whose numerical superiority in players - plus having that man Reina between the sticks - saw him run out 35-14 winner over fellow Liverpool fan Mike Barnard. Amar's excellent score also saw him rise to third in the league, winning him £100 to add to the £100 plus trophy that he gets for lifting the Fantasy Cup. Nice work.

FA Cup ALL RED FINAL One thing's for sure, in the Fantasy version of the FA Cup Final the winner will definitely be of the Anfield brotherhood. As you can tell from their team names, two Liverpool fans won the day in two of the closest semis we've ever had. Amar Singh pipped Olly Maxey by a point despite having two fewer players involved in the tie, while Mike Barnard squeezed past Mal Tattersall basically because of a single point scored by Crouch.

FA Cup BELOW are the results for the quarter finals of the Fantasy Cup - and what a high-scoring round it was, mainly due to Liverpool hammering Birmingham and keeping a clean sheet. It was the end of Amon Cohen's double dreams as he recorded the lowest score of the round - 30 - to crash out to Liverpool fan Mike Barnard's outfit. The clash of ex-colleagues Olly Maxey and Mike Walsh saw Cup holder Mike bow out while Olly notched the top score of the round, a massive 69. Gnasher's avalanche of transfers, his first of the season, weren't enough to overthrow Amar Singh who eased through to the semis by four points. Meanwhile mid-table Mal Tattersall knocked out red zoner Nadeem Khan, meaning that no one in the top six is left in the competition.

The draw for the semis will be made next week, because the transfer deadline for the season will have passed by then. But teams left in the semis please note that you keep the same players for the rest of the Cup competition that you had in the quarter finals.

FA CupHERE are rare the results for the Fifth Round of the Fantasy Cup. No big shocks to report as the big guns remained on course for the quarter finals. The league's top two, Amon Cohen and Nadem Kahn eased their way through while present Cup holder Mike Walsh stormed on along with his former colleague and former Cup winner Olly Maxey who also made it through to the draw which will be held in the week before the ties.

However, one mid-table side left in the competition, More Springrolls Please managed by Gnasher, must be a strong outside bet - mainly because he has yet to make a single transfer and could simply flood his team with players still left in the FA Cup. Not someone you'd want to be paired with when the names come out of the hat (or in our case, the polystyrene canteen cup). It's all very intriguing. I'll let you all know when the draw will be made.

FA CupHERE are the results of the Fantasy FA Cup Fourth Round. Some of you spotted the howler, that I typed in one team If Only twice, when in the first tie drawn it should have been Planet Priestfield's name in the box ( I typed in the wrong team code number). Apologies to Caroline Blackmore and current Fantasy Cup holder Mike Walsh. All has now been put right now though.

We had two drawn ties decided on Home Advantage - with red zoner Nadeem Khan just scraping through against Paul Crosbie while Anthony Cappaert knocked out current champ Neil Farley in what was the shock of the round. The most thumping win came from Amon Cohen who sank Gareth Morgan's side 30-7. Form manager of the moment Amar Singh racked up another 36 point Cup total, this time the biggest of the round, to ease through. Current Cup holder Mike Walsh stayed on course with a 26-15 victory over Sanjay Gohil.

The Fifth Round draw will be held on the Wednesday before the matches. As usual, there will be no transfers allowed that week. So if you want to use transfers to replace players no longer in the Cup do it sooner rather than later.

Great performances from the league underdogs though. Sides down in the 40s at the lower end of the table did well, with Emma Cole, Emma Yates, Geoff Sutton, Alison Crowther and Anthony Cappaert all easing through to Round Four. I'll explain more details about the draw next week. If you totted up your own scores remember, you don't get Man of the Match points.

FANTASY CUP THIRD ROUND DRAW: Here is the draw made on Thursday December 22 by my two children Leo and Chloe (I'm not at work this week so I cannot use traditional drawmaker Al Barter). My back is still killing me so I'm doing this on my knees - which is handy because prayers might be needed to get the Burke boys through to the next round.

We certainly can't be accused of draw fixing. Both of us missed out on a bye to the Fourth Round and both got drawn away from home. Notable ties: Struggling Simon Lord has the toughest nut to crack, at home to league leader Amon Cohen (Both are Arsenal fans). There's one red zone clash between Nadeem Khan and Steve Keenan. Should all be very interesting.

Once again, the rules: We have 48 teams in the league this year so, as usual, there is a limited Third Round, with 16 teams getting byes in order that we mathematically end up with the 32 survivors needed to make the Fourth Round work and so on. If your team is NOT in the draw below you were lucky enough to be among the first 16 out of the hat to get a bye.

FANTASY CUP FINAL 2004-2005 - SATURDAY, MAY 21

PLANET PRIESTFIELD

THE ROTAVATORS

(Planet Priestfield won on most points scored throughout the competition)

THRILLER GOES TO EXTRA TIME: The glory goes to Mike Walsh after the highest-scoring final in Fantasy Cup history that swung this way and that but which in the end was determined by our rule covering draws in the semis and final where there is no home advantage. The winner here was the side that scored most points throughout the competition.

I have to say I was surprised when I totted the points up. Lizzie Fairrie had an advantage on him because she played in the third round whereas Mike (pictured left with his trophy at our awards night) got a bye. So she had an extra round's points to add to her total, the only compensation for being drawn to play in the limited third round.

Before adding the points up I was sure that would be enough to clinch it for Lizzie, but Mike scored so well in each round - more than 20 a match - that he made up for the round disadvantage and squeezed home by only TWO POINTS with a 124 total to Lizzie's 122. So Mike lifts the Cup and the £100 cheque in what has definitely been the most exciting of all our Fantasy Cup competitions.

FA Cup RONALDO SETTLES THRILLER SEMI: Former Fantasy Cup winner Emma Cole was within a few seconds of victory in her all-girl tie with Lizzie Fairrie - only to have it snatched away from her by a delayed substitution in the Man United-Newcastle tie. She was leading 9-7 with 14 minutes to go - and Ronaldo, in Lizzie's team, was about to be taken off and replaced by Smith as soon as the ManU bench could get the ref's attention. It looked odds on Emma would be the first manager to reach two Fantasy Cup finals. Then Van Nistelhorse picked out the Fallover Kid who used his last touch in the game to sweep the ball past Given for the fourth goal and five precious points that took Lizzie into the Final. Ah, the agony and ecstasy of the Fantasy Cup

In the other semi, there was an imperious triumph for in-form Mike Walsh whose side slammed in the top score of 28 points to annihalate Tom Chesshyre, with Pires and Ronaldo both scoring 10 points each.

It makes for a very tight final. Taking away the duplicate players in both sides who cancel each other out, it is Lizzie's Henry and Rooney against Mike's Toure and Pires. Lizzie faces a tense wait to see if Henry's groin injury clears up in time for the May 21 final. Once again, the results were:

FA CupFA CUP SIXTH ROUND RESULTS: It was the end of the road for Olly Maxey's dreams of a first-ever league and cup double as he went down by only two points to arch rival and former office colleague Mike Walsh in the hardest fought tie of the round. Former Cup winner Emma Cole saw off the challenge of Neil Sweetman to reach the semis thanks mainly to a rare clean sheet from Newcastle's Stephen Carr. Early league leader Lizzie Fairrie toppled Spurs fan Mark Solomons, making it a weekend of double Cup depression for him while Tom Chesshyre can thank the top-scoring player of the round - Paul Scholes with 12 points - for easing past another double chaser, Neil Farley.

The draw for the semi-finals will be made the Wednesday before the games. Transfers will be banned for the four semi finalists from the posting of the draw. Here's the full classified Sixth Round check:

FA CupFA CUP FIFTH ROUND RESULTS: League leader and Fantasy FA Cup holder Olly Maxey notched the highest score of the round with 27 points to sail comfortably into the quarter finals. Olly benefited from Ronaldo and Defoe's goals to easily see off Andrew Penman. Former Cup winner Emma Cole also booked her place in the Sixth Round draw with victory over Mike Barnard. Brown zoner Emma Ramsey paid the price of making no transfers in the run-up to the games in her tie with Lizzie Fairrie.

Regular red zoners Andy Jones, Amar Singh and Caroline Blackmore all fell to sides hovering on the edge of the top six managed by Mike Walsh, Neil Sweetman and Mark Solomons respectively. Neil beat Amar by a single point in the closest tie of the round. Another close tie was between Tom Chesshyre and mid-tabler Owen Anslow with Tom winning out by three points. Second placed Neil Farley kept his double hopes alive with an easy victory over Steve Keenan.

The Quarter Finals draw will be posted on Wednesday , March 9, before the ties are played over March 12 and 13. As usual there will be a transfer ban from the moment the draw is posted until all the original ties are played. Remember: Scores are based on the original tie only. Replays do not count towards your total. In the event of a draw, Home Advantage counts - ie. the team first out of the hat in the tie goes through.

FA CupFA CUP FOURTH ROUND: In the top-of-the table clash Olly Maxey triumphed narrowly over Mal Tattersall as the rest of the then top five eased through into the Fifth Round. Sixth placed Peter Thornton went out in the closest fought tie to Mike Barnard by a single point.

Shock of the round was 12th placed Amon Cohen's demise at the hands of basement boss Emma Ramsey. Emma is the only survivor from the bottom four and has all of her transfers left. So she could prove a dangerous one to draw in the Fifth Round. Top score of the round was 49 points, thumped in by 2000 Cup winner Emma Cole. In the office derby Owen Anslow saw off Emma Yates.

The Fifth Round Draw will be posted on the Wednesday before the games on February 19 and 20 and the transfer ban will again apply that week. Here is the classified check. FA CupFA CUP THIRD ROUND RESULTS: So many Third Round matches dangled on the re-arranged Burnley-Liverpool game, but that nice Mr Benitez saved me a lot of mathematics by dropping his stars and giving a game to the team coach driver, the Anfield ground staff and the Kop pie seller. The only score affected was Nadeem Khan's. He needed a goal from Baros to come from behind and pip Martin Phillips in their tie but all the Czech striker did was get booked.

Biggest scalp of the round was 12th placed Troy De Ruyter, beaten by my lad Leo Burke. Closest tie was between fellow QPR fans Emma Cole and Phil Davies. It ended seven-all, with Emma - herself a former Fantasy Cup winner - going through on Home advantage. Former league leader Peter Thornton notched the biggest score of the round, his Professionally Foul side putting 37 points past Colin Simpson's Kent Flyers.

High scores are worth getting. When we get to the semi-final and final stage, the amount of points you have scored throughout the Cup will be used to decide who wins in the event of a draw (as there is no home advantage in semis and final in the real Cup). It's the one advantage too of having to play in the Third Round - you get a head start over all the smug managers who got byes to the Fourth.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ: In the past I've had complaints about managers using tactical transfers to gain advantage in a tie before it's even played (ie picking players who are in the other team to cancel out opposition). So I've re-adjusted the rules a bit. The Fourth Round draw will take place next Wednesday before Cup weekend. NO TRANSFERS will be allowed from the moment the draw is posted until the ties have been played. So basically I'm accepting no transfers from next Wednesday to the following Monday. If you send any in during that time they will be held over till the following week.

Here's the full classified check of the Fantasy FA Cup Third Round results. For those who've been away, if your teams's not here you were lucky enough to get a bye to Round four:
